"I'm having a great hunting year. Lots of birds, especially pheasants. Sugar is doing fantastic, I couldn't have gotten a better dog. I love her to death. She has a great nose and fantastic stamina. Since I'm retired now I can hunt as much as I want, which is a lot. In fact I'm going back tomorrow for 5 days and then again at the end of January."                                             Barry Greenfield of Colorado
"I was just on your website, I thought you might have some pictures from opening weekend and sure enough! Looks like you had a pretty good opener. Due to the poor bird forecasts I've been reading, I didn't even bother to get a Kansas hunting license this year. You must have found a descent pocket of them though. We usually hunt in North Central Kansas, around the Lincoln County area, but decided not to hunt Kansas this year. We did manage to get the pup in some pheasants here in Missouri though, and I was simply amazed at the job this young pup did. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of him, but he sure surprised me. He had some really nice points over a number a pheasants and I was just shocked at the natural ability in this pup. We all had a great time. Hope you have a great season and keep in touch."              Jeff Jensen of Missouri

"Just wanted to drop a line and say that training is going great. We are working on "steady to shot" with him, he's practically "whoa broke" and naturally backs. I purchased two chukar and two roosters for him to point on. He hit all of them and many quail. He's coming along just fine. His retrieves are impressive. He hits the birds hard and brings back to hand. He is truly a pleasure to work with and hunt behind."
Tyler Payne of Washington
"Woody is doing great! He has pointed a variety of objects from a cow to a beetle as well as a number of inanimate objects. We are having a blast. No problems with his crate training. My bother-in-law is very impressed with Woody, says I got a smart one."
Matt Jacobson of Wyoming
"Just a little update on Bouncer and Sophie. Both doing fine. Pointing everything, chewing everything, into everything. Running the Springer ragged. We are thoroughly enyoying them.
Dave & Kris Light of Colorado
"Attached are jpg files of the puppies! Not only are the beautiful, but they are hysterically funny as well. While I realize that they are hunting dogs, they are also fantastic house dogs as well. We can’t stop laughing when we are around them. Thanks for giving us so much fun!
John & Deb Warren of Kansas
"This pup has a nose, and he knows how to use it!"
Terry Williams of Oklahoma
"My two pups have excellent character, boldness, and are great with kids. They have good legs and balance. Their ears and noses are in line for nice shaped heads. They hunt with my daughter all over the yard, combing back and forth."
Dave Trca of Iowa
"She's great......queen of the house already. Smart as a whip and great personality. Our son (12 year old) can't wait to start training. We'll keep you posted on progress."
Jay Lorimer of Colorado
"Breeding our English Setter to Jim Gourley's stud dog, Tomoka's Mendy Shades, was a positive experience from our first telephone conversation. Jim has an obvious love for the breed, and the breeding of our dog, Petra, to Shades was very successful. The puppies possessed tremendous confirmation and obvious early instincts for hunting. We are also very grateful to Jim for his assistance in finding good homes for the new puppies, as he referred potential owners to us by word-of-mouth and through his website. In fact, all of the puppies were sold by the time they were 4 weeks-old, and we had a waiting/alternate list of four people."
